president ahead of Manguaung, receiving 99 votes to Jacob Zuma’s 90. Sports

current sec-gen Gwede Mantashe’s 85 votes. The positions of deputy president,
deputy secretary, chairperson and treasurer general failed to yield any majority
votes and will have to be re-voted. The voting came amid allegations from a
group of members from ANC branches in Wellington that they were denied a say in
who their branch delegate should be. The leader of the group, Primrose Mbenene,
alleges that the chairperson of her branch made members sign for another
delegate “in the middle of the night”…
